WORCESTER, Mass. – The Crusaders' varsity eight won the women's eight race, placing first out of 48 boats as the Holy Cross women's rowing team competed at the Snake Regatta on Lake Quinsigamond on Saturday. The varsity eight has won both of its races during the fall season as the Crusaders placed first in the club eight race at the Textile River Regatta on Sept. 30.
The varsity eight won with a time of 15:29.658 as Wellesley's varsity eight placed second with a time of 15:33.891. The Crusaders' second varsity eight finished sixth with a time of 15:57.419 placing behind four varsity boats and Wellesley's second varsity eight that placed fifth with a time of 15:56.187. The novice eight placed 36th with a time of 19:06.758.
The varsity four competed in the women's four race placing eighth out of 21 boats with a time of 19:20.548. Bowdoin won with a time of 17:05.881.
The Crusaders return to action when they compete at the 48th Head of the Charles Regatta on Oct. 20-21.
