Women’s Rowing Takes Three Of Four Races Versus George Mason & Rutgers

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – The Holy Cross women's rowing team won three of four races versus George Mason and Rutgers on Saturday on the Raritan River. The varsity, second and third varsity eights each placed first.

The varsity eight won its race with a time of 6:51.8 as Rutgers (7:00.9) placed second and George Mason (7:17.5) placed third. The Crusaders won the second varsity eight race with a time of 7:21.5, while Rutgers (7:25.9) was second and George Mason (7:37.7) was third. The third varsity eight placed first in its race with a time of 7:47.0 as Rutgers (7:54.3) placed second and George Mason (7:54.4) was third. Rutgers took the varsity four race with a time of 8:23.4 as the Crusaders (8:25.8) placed second and George Mason (8:32.6) was third.

The Crusaders return to action on Sunday, April 28, when they will compete at the Beanpot Regatta on the Charles River in Boston versus Boston College, Boston University, MIT, Northeastern and Harvard-Radcliffe at 8:00 a.m. Go here for more about the regatta: http://www.goholycross.com/sports/w-rowing/2012-13/releases/20130425nbakjd.
