WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's rowing team had 17 student-athletes named to the 2013 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office.
The members of the team to be named to the Academic Honor Roll were seniors Michele Grenier (Menands, N.Y.), Claire Scherer (Kenmore, N.Y.), Colleen Sharry (Braintree, Mass.) and Aleks Torres (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.); juniors Laura Alves (North Grosvenordale, Conn.), Lauren Carlo (Crofton, Md.), Kristina Giangrande (Andover, Mass.), Kelsey Marakovits (Rocky Hill, Conn.) and Bridget Schirripa (Lexington, Mass.); sophomore Sarah Moroz (Andover, Mass.); and freshmen Michaela Carroll (Barrington, R.I.), Lillian Daley (Hanover, N.H.), Tori McCormick (Needham, Mass.), Josephine Moore (Berlin, Germany), MaryKate Silk (Delray Beach, Fla.), Sarah Valente (Basking Ridge, N.J.) and Lauren Yacobucci (East Aurora, N.Y.).
A total of 113 student-athletes from women's rowing teams around the league were named to the Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll a winter or spring sport student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester.
