WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's rowing team competed versus Boston College and Connecticut on Saturday morning on Lake Quinsigamond. Boston College won all five races on the day.
Boston College's varsity eight won the Irving-Christensen Cup for winning the varsity eight race with a time of 6:47.5. UConn (6:54.4) placed second and the Crusaders (7:03.3) were third. The Eagles also won the second varsity eight race as they posted a time of 6:55.0. UConn (7:04.7) was second and Holy Cross (7:34.2) was third.
Boston College "B" won the novice eight race with a time of 7:17.5, while Boston College "A" placed second with a time of 7:22.8. The Crusaders placed third with a time of 7:49.0, while UConn was fourth with a time of 7:52.2. Boston College "A" won the novice four competition with a time of 8:08.9, while Boston College "B" was second with a time of 8:14.8. UConn was third with a time of 8:36.9 and the Crusaders were fourth with a time of 9:06.6.
The Crusaders return to action on Sunday, April 27 when they travel to New Brunswick, N.J., to take on Rutgers.
