Women’s Rowing Places 10th At Eastern Sprints
CAMDEN, N.J. – The Holy Cross women's rowing team placed 10th out of 11 teams with 11 total points at the Eastern Sprints on Sunday on the Cooper River. Northeastern won the team championship with 78 points.
The varsity eight placed fourth in its heat out of five boats with a time of 6:56.342. Northeastern won the heat with a time of 6:42.892. The Crusaders then finished third in the petite final out of four boats with a time of 6:48.442. Buffalo won with a time of 6:40.165.
The second varsity eight placed fifth in its heat out of five boats with a time of 7:44.339. Northeastern finished first with a time of 6:58.036. The Crusaders placed fourth in the petite final out of four boats with a time of 7:43.706. Buffalo won with a time of 6:58.270.
The third varsity eight placed sixth in the grand final out of six boats with a time of 7:50.520. Northeastern won with a time of 7:04.375.
The Crusaders return to action on Friday, May 16, when they will compete at the Patriot League Championship in Worcester, Mass., on Lake Quinsigamond.
