Women's Rowing Set For Patriot League Championship On May 16
Holy Cross Women's Rowing

Schedule: Friday, May 16 at Patriot League Championship, Worcester, Mass., 8:00 a.m.
• The Holy Cross women's rowing team will return to action on Friday, May 16, when it will compete at the Patriot League Championship in Worcester, Mass., on Lake Quinsigamond. The Crusaders were picked to finish sixth in the 2014 Patriot League preseason poll. Last year, the Crusaders placed third at the Patriot League Championship out of six teams. Holy Cross placed second in the second varsity eight race and was third in the varsity four race. This was the best ever result for a Holy Cross second varsity eight boat at the Patriot League Championship and the program's second silver medal, as the varsity four placed second in 2005. Navy won the team championship. Two seasons ago the Crusaders placed fourth at the Patriot League Championship after placing third in the second varsity eight, while they were fourth in the varsity eight and varsity four races. • The Crusaders placed fourth at the 2011 Patriot League Championship, while they were third in 2010, 2009 and 2008. Holy Cross tied for fourth in 2007, was fifth in 2006 and was third in the first-ever Patriot League Championship in 2005.
• The Crusaders placed 10th out of 11 teams with 11 total points at the Eastern Sprints on the Cooper River. Northeastern won the team championship with 78 points.
