WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross freshman rower Maggie Diggins (Holden, Mass.) has been invited to the 2014 Women's National Team Pre-Elite Camp as announced by USRowing. She is just one of 16 rowers to be selected to this camp.
The camp is from June 8-22 in Princeton, N.J. The camp is focused on developing athletes for the under 23 and senior national teams. The goal of this camp is to teach skills necessary to compete at the elite level by introducing and developing sculling, focusing on small boats, gaining fitness and increasing strength-to-weight ratio.
Diggins has rowed with the Holy Cross varsity eight in all five spring regattas this season.
The Crusaders return to action on Friday, May 16, when they will compete at the Patriot League Championship in Worcester, Mass., on Lake Quinsigamond.
