Holy Cross Women's Rowing

- The Holy Cross women's rowing team concluded the 2013-2014 season by placing sixth out of nine teams at the Patriot League Championship on Lake Quinsigamond. Boston University (49 points) won the team championship and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Navy (45 points) was second, Bucknell (43 points) was third, MIT (38 points) placed fourth, Georgetown (33 points) was fifth, the Crusaders (21 points) placed sixth, Lehigh (18 points) was seventh, Colgate (17 points) placed eighth and Loyola (Md.) (6 points) was ninth.
- This season the Crusaders were led by their four seniors, Lauren Carlo (Crofton, Md.), Kelsey Marakovits (Rocky Hill, Conn.), Kiley McLean (Elmhurst, Ill.) and Bridget Schirripa (Lexington, Mass.).
- Schirripa earned second team All-Patriot League honors. This was the first time that Schirripa received this honor. This season, Schirripa rowed on the varsity eight boat in eight regattas. She was also a member of the varsity four that placed fifth at the Patriot League Championship. Last year, she was a member of the second varsity eight that placed second at the Patriot League Championship, which was the best ever result for a Holy Cross second varsity eight boat at the Patriot League Championship. Schirripa earned Crusader of the Week accolades as a sophomore. She has been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll three times and was also a three-year member of the Holy Cross Leadership Academy.
