WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's rowing team had 19 student-athletes named to the 2014 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office. Senior captains Kelsey Marakovits (Rocky Hill, Conn.) and Bridget Schirripa (Lexington, Mass.) each earned the honor for the fourth time.
The other members of the team to be named to the Academic Honor Roll were senior captain Lauren Carlo (Crofton, Md.); juniors Kate Diggins (Holden, Mass.), Jackie Hanna (Annapolis, Md.) and Adrienne Randall (Leominster, Mass.); sophomores Allie Arduini (Newtown, Pa.), Colleen Hynes (Maywood, N.J.), Tori McCormick (Needham, Mass.), Siobhan Murphy (Norwell, Mass.), Lauren Yacobucci (East Aurora, N.Y.) and Kayla Zenk (Kent, Conn.); freshmen Bridgid Carey (Silver Spring, Md.), Ming Comey (Old Saybrook, Conn.), Lindsay Gibbons (Marlborough, Mass.), Makaila O'Brien (Poulsbo, Wash.), Sheila Riley (Princeton, N.J.), Tess Starshak (Chicago, Ill.) and Maddy Supple (Needham, Mass.).
A total of 202 student-athletes from women's rowing teams around the league were named to the Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll a winter or spring sport student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester.
