Beth Charron is in her first season as the women’s novice rowing coach for the Crusaders in 2012-2013.
Charron, a standout athlete during her time at Holy Cross, was a two-year team captain and a four-year member of the varsity eight boat. Her senior year, she led the varsity eight to a second place finish out of 27 teams at the New England Championship and was a member of the varsity eight which placed fourth overall at the Patriot League Championship. Charron excelled academically as well, earning CRCA Scholar-Athlete accolades her junior and senior years and was a two-time member of the Patriot League All-Academic team. She earned 2010 ECAC/NIRC Stewards’ All-Academic team honors and was a four-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Charron was also the treasurer of Holy Cross’ student organization Medical Ministries International as she traveled with the group to Honduras to provide care for those in need.
Charron is a graduate of Manchester Central High School in Manchester, N.H. She was a member of a crew that set the school record for the best 6k and was named the team’s Best Athlete as a senior in 2008.
Charron was a Biology major at Holy Cross with a pre-med
concentration and graduated in 2012.
