WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross women's rowing seniors Clare Bracikowski (Brentwood, Tenn.) and Johanna Cubelli (Boonton Township, N.J.) have been named to the All-Patriot League women's rowing team, as announced by the conference office.
Bracikowski and Cubelli both rowed in the varsity eight race during the Patriot League Championships, placing third in the competition with a time of 7:04.55.
The Patriot League named 11 student-athletes which includes 10 rowers and one coxswain to the All-League team.
The rowers are named to the All-League team based on how their varsity eight teams finish at the Patriot League Championship. The first-place team is allowed three rowers and one coxswain, the second-place boat is allowed three rowers and the third-place boat can place two rowers on the All-League team. Both fourth and fifth-place finishers are allowed one rower on the All-Patriot League team.
Bucknell placed first in the 2009 Patriot League Championship with 30 points, followed by Navy (24), Holy Cross (16), Colgate (9) and Lehigh (9). Bucknell won all three championship events - Varsity Four, Second Varsity Eight and First Varsity Eight.
Holy Cross returns to action on May 2-3, hosting the New England Championship.
