WORCESTER, Mass. - Freshman goalkeeper Carly McCabe (Barrington, R.I.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from September 19-25. McCabe posted a 1.16 goals against average and a .840 save percentage, as the Holy Cross women's soccer team posted an 0-1-2 record in three games last week.
In the Crusaders' first game last week, McCabe made seven saves and allowed two goals in a 2-0 loss at New Hampshire. She then recorded eight saves and allowed one goal in a 1-1 double overtime tie with Vermont, before totaling six saves and allowing one goal in another 1-1 double overtime tie, at Rider.
In eight games played this season, McCabe has posted a 2-4-2 record with 54 saves and just seven goals allowed. She currently owns an 0.83 goals against average and an .885 save percentage on the year.
Holy Cross (2-6-2 overall) returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 2, when it travels to Army for its Patriot League opener at 1:00 p.m.
