Gina Righini

WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross sophomore midfielder Gina Righini (Salem, N.H.) has been named to the 2012 women's soccer first team All-Patriot League, as announced by the conference. This is the second honor for Righini, earning second team All-Patriot League recognition last season. The All-Patriot League teams are voted on by the league's eight head coaches, who can not cast a ballot for themselves or their student-athletes.

She recorded a team-high seven shots, including four on-goal, versus American (10/19). Righini was also tied for the team lead in game-winning goals with two.

Regular season champion Navy took three of the five major awards including Defensive Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year and Coach of the Year. Regular season runner-up Colgate took home Offensive Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year.
