Leading the Crusaders were senior shortstop Caitlin Deitz (Delmar, N.Y.), senior catcher Rory Ogden (Latham, N.Y.) and sophomore third baseman Mandy Correale (Peabody, Mass.), who were all selected to the Academic Honor Roll for the second year in a row. Holy Cross' 10 total selections to the Academic Honor Roll were the second most in the conference.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[The 2008 All-Patriot League softball teams were announced on Tuesday afternoon, with Holy Cross placing both senior first baseman Kelly O'Neil (White Plains, N.Y.) and freshman second baseman Erin Fleming (Townsend, Mass.) on the teams. The All-Patriot League teams were voted on by the head coaches of the league's six softball teams. O'Neil was named to the first team All-Patriot league list, after she hit .276 this year with a team-best 25 RBI.]]></description>

Last week, Cruz hit .333 with two home runs and posted a 2-1 record in the circle, as the Holy Cross softball team split a four-game series at Colgate. In the series finale against the Raiders, Cruz drove in three runs, including a game-winning two-run homer in the ninth inning for the 12-10 victory.]]></description>

The Crusaders split the day with Central Connecticut, dropping the first game 4-2 and winning the second 6-2. Holy Cross now stands 8-25 overall, while Central Connecticut is 12-21 on the season. In game two, the first three innings went scoreless before the Crusaders put six runs on the board in the top of the fourth. Last week, Seniuk hit .364 with three home runs and nine runs batted in, as the Holy Cross softball team posted a 4-4 record over eight games.During a doubleheader sweep of Hartford on Tuesday, Seniuk went four-for-six with four runs scored and two runs batted in. She hit a pair of home runs in the second game against the Hawks, including a solo shot in the bottom of the seventh to break a 7-7 tie and give the Crusaders the victory.]]></description>
