WORCESTER, Mass. - Freshman outfielder Keeley Seniuk (Phoenix, Ariz.) has been named the GoHolyCross.com Crusader of the Week, for competition from April 14-20. Last week, Seniuk hit .364 with three home runs and nine runs batted in, as the Holy Cross softball team posted a 4-4 record over eight games.
During a doubleheader sweep of Hartford on Tuesday, Seniuk went four-for-six with four runs scored and two runs batted in. She hit a pair of home runs in the second game against the Hawks, including a solo shot in the bottom of the seventh to break a 7-7 tie and give the Crusaders the victory. Seniuk also drove in five runs during the four-game series with Lehigh on Saturday and Sunday, including a two-run homer in game four to give Holy Cross a 3-2 win.
On the season, Seniuk is now hitting .291 with three home runs, 10 runs scored, 11 runs batted in and six stolen bases.
The Crusaders, who stand 7-24 overall and 3-9 in the Patriot League, return to action on Wednesday, April 23, when they travel to Central Connecticut for a doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m.
