WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior Maggie Gousman (Fanwood, N.J.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from November 30-December 6. Gousman led the Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team to a second place finish at last weekend's Harold Anderson Invitational, held at the University of Rhode Island.
During the Anderson Invitational, Gousman won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:07.67. She also placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:27.47) and fifth in the 200-yard individual medley (2:15.14), while swimming a leg on the third place 200-yard medley relay team (1:52.42) and the fourth place 400-yard medley relay team (4:07.10).
Gousman is the all-time Holy Cross record holder in both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.47 at the 2009 Patriot League Championship) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:25.60 at the 2008 Patriot League Championship).
Holy Cross is off until Wednesday, January 20, when it travels to Bryant for a 6:00 p.m. meet.
