WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. and head women's swimming and diving coach Barry Parenteau have announced the Crusaders' schedule for the 2012-2013 season. Holy Cross is scheduled to compete in 10 meets and will host two meets at the Hart Center.
The Crusaders will kick off their season over October break, as they host Fairfield (Oct. 13). They will then travel to Siena (Oct. 24), and later on that week to Springfield (Oct. 27).
Holy Cross will also travel to three invitational meets before the New Year. The Crusaders will compete at the New England Catholic Invitational at Boston College (Oct. 19-20), the Terrier Invitational hosted by Boston University (Nov. 16-18) and the Harold Anderson Invitational at the University of Rhode Island (Nov. 30-Dec 1).
The Crusaders will open the 2013 portion of their season with the Worcester City Championship meet (Jan. 18-19). This will be the first year that the Worcester City Championship will be hosted at Worcester Polytechnic Institute instead of Holy Cross. Holy Cross will look to continue its undefeated streak, as the Crusaders have won all 10 previous Worcester City Championship team titles. The following week Holy Cross will be traveling to Providence College (Jan. 26).
In February, Holy Cross will wrap up its regular season by welcoming Bryant to the Hart Center for its final home meet of the season (Feb. 2), then will compete in the Patriot League Championship meet in Lewisburg, Pa. (Feb. 21-23).
