Women's Swimming & Diving Competes In Dual Meet At Providence
PROVIDENCE, R.I. --- Senior Katelyn Desrosiers (Gorham, Maine) finished third in the 100-yard breaststroke to lead the Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team against Providence on Saturday afternoon. The Friars came away with a 230-61 victory.
Sophomore Anna Villani (Hanover, Mass.) finished third in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:47.84 and fourth in the 800 freestyle, touching the wall at 10:26.73. Fellow classmate Mary Kate Schulte (Des Moines, Iowa) also took fourth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 29.41. Junior Kelsey Poremba (Bedford, N.H.) swam to a fourth place finish in the 400 freestyle with a time of 5:03.80.
The women's swimming and diving team will return to the Hart Center for its final home meet of the season against Bryant on Saturday, Feb. 2, at 1:00 p.m.
