LEWISBURG, Pa. – Senior Kristen Desrosiers (Gorham, Maine) earned the top finished for the Crusaders as the women's swimming and diving team completed day two of competition at the Patriot League Championship on Friday, hosted by Bucknell. Desrosiers finished 21st in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:01.37.
Sophomore Kristie Coleman (Brooklyn, N.Y.) improved her career-best time in the 200 freestyle to 2:01.60. Seniors Natalie Livingston (Auburn, Wash.) and Katelyn Desrosiers (Gorham, Maine) also set new personal bests on day two of action. Livingston finished the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.44 while Katelyn Desrosiers finished behind her classmate in the event at 1:10.75.
In the relay events, the 800 freestyle team finished in seventh place with a time of 8:07.08 and the 200 medley team took eighth with a time of 1:56.21. On the diving side, junior Katie Luther (Omaha, Neb.) was the lone Crusader participant in the one-meter, finishing with a score of 159.60.
Navy leads the team competition with 534 points, followed by Colgate (445) and Bucknell (421). The third and final day of Patriot League Championship action is set to begin tomorrow, Feb. 23, at 10:30 a.m.
