Women's Swimming & Diving Ends 2012-2013 Season

  • The Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team concluded the 2012-2013 season on Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 21-23, at the Patriot League Championship, hosted by Bucknell. The Crusaders finished in seventh place, their highest finish since the 2003 Patriot League Championship.
  • Seven Crusader upperclassmen improved career-best times over the three-day championship. Sophomore Mary Kate Schulte (Des Moines, Iowa), senior Laura Webber (Hampden, Mass.), sophomore Kristie Coleman (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and senior Clare Reidy (Northford, Conn.) all set new personal best times in the 50 freestyle, finishing at 25.16, 25.66, 25.79 and 26.72, respectively. Seniors Natalie Livingston (Auburn, Wash.) and Katelyn Desrosiers (Gorham, Maine) set new career-best marks in the 100 breaststroke, touching the wall at 1:09.44 and 1:10.75, respectively. Coleman improved her personal best in the 200 freestyle (2:01.60) and Schulte (54.94), junior Kelsey Poremba (Bedford, N.H.) (56.13) and Reidy (57.46) set career-fastest marks in the 100 freestyle.
  • Prior to the final home meet of the year against Bryant (2/2), seniors Katelyn Desrosiers, Kristen Desrosiers, Livingston, Reidy and Webber were honored by head coach Barry Parenteau, diving coach Wilson Aybar and assistant coach Ian Hennessey in a brief ceremony for their hard work and dedication to the women's swimming and diving program over the past four years.
