Patriot League Releases Women's Swimming And Diving Preseason Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team was selected to finish 10th in the 2013-2014 Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Last season's Patriot League champion, Navy, was selected to finish first with 160 points and 16 first place votes.

Patriot League newcomer Boston University was selected to finish second with 140 points and four first place votes, while last year's runner-up Bucknell landed third with 127 points. Colgate and Army landed fourth and fifth with 113 and 101 points, respectively, and Lehigh just edged out Loyola (Md.) for the sixth spot with 77 points compared to the Greyhound's 76. Lafayette (49), American (39) and Holy Cross (18) rounded out the preseason poll.

Holy Cross will kick off the 2013-2014 season this Saturday, Oct. 5, at 1:00 p.m. at the Assumption Pentathlon.
