Before Holy Cross: Six-year member of the McGann-Mercy H.S. track and field team...team captain in 2009... earned MVP honors in 2007 and 2008...earned All-County and All-League honors in 2006-2009...named Bishop McGann-Mercy Female Athlete of the Year in 2009...received U.S. Army Reserve Scholar Athlete award in 2009...also a member of the soccer team...team captain in 2009...earned All-League in 2007 and 2008...named to the Long Island Exceptional Senior Soccer Team in 2008...was secretary of the National Honor Society...named a New York State Regents Scholar in 2009.

Personal: Daughter of Jim and Patricia Kelly Derenze...father was a member of the track and field team at SUNY Stony Brook...mother was on the soccer team at Stonehill College...has one brother, Patrick...has not declared a major.
