WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr., along with head women's coach Egetta Alfonso have announced the 2012-2013 women's indoor track and field schedule. The Crusaders are set to kick off indoor competition on Dec.1. at the Jay Carisella Invitational at Boston University.
Holy Cross will also compete at the University of Rhode Island Pentathlon (Dec. 7), the Harvard Open meet (Dec. 8) and the Boston University Mini Series (Dec. 15, Dec. 22, Dec. 28) before winter break. The Crusaders will resume competition in the New Year when they travel to the Crowell Open meet at West Point (Jan.5) and the Tiger Invitational at the Reggie Lewis Center (Jan. 5). The next weekend they will travel to the University of Rhode Island for the Go Rhody Invitational (Jan.11) and to the Yale Invitational (Jan. 12). The women will close out the month of January with a dual meet at New Hampshire (Jan. 19) and the Joe Donahue Invitational at the Reggie Lewis Center (Jan. 25).
The Crusaders start February with a dual meet at Maine (Feb. 2), followed by the Valentine Invitational (Feb. 8) and the Patriot League Indoor Championship at West Point (Feb. 15-17). The month ends at the New England Indoor Championship (Feb. 22-23). Qualifying members of the team will compete at the ECAC Indoor Championship (March 1-3) in Boston, Mass.
