Caroline Carley Named AT&T Crusader Of The Week
WORCESTER, Mass. - Freshman Caroline Carley (Barrington, Ill.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from February 11-17. Carley was named the Rookie of the Meet, while helping the Holy Cross women's indoor track and field team to a fifth place finish at the Patriot League Championship in West Point, N.Y.
At the Patriot League Championship, Carley won the 1,000-meter run in an ECAC qualifying time of 2:55.35. She also ran a leg on Holy Cross' 4x800-meter relay team which finished in third place (9:06.23) and the distance medley relay team which also took third (12:12.70).
On the season, Carley owns the team's fastest time in the 1,000-meter run (2:55.35), in addition to competing in the 800-meter run (top time of 2:22.51) and the one-mile run (top time of 5:21.01).
Holy Cross returns to action this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 22 and 23, when it takes part in the New England Championship at Boston University.
