Dahlstrom Named To Track & Field Academic All-Patriot League Team

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross sophomore Sarah Dahlstrom (Southborough, Mass.) has earned one of 10 spots on the women's indoor track and field Academic All-Patriot League team, as voted on by the Patriot League's track and field sports information directors. To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport.

Dahlstrom competed in the pentathlon at the Patriot League Indoor Championship (2/15), finishing third overall with a score of 3,098 points. The sophomore finished first in the shot put portion of the event with a throw of 10.47 meters and second in the 800-meter run (2:30.67). Earlier this season, she tied her career-best distance in the shot put against New Hampshire (1/19) with a throw of 11.76 meters. At the New England Indoor Championship (2/22), she recorded a season-best score in the pentathlon (3,143 points) and tied her career-best height in the high jump (1.51 meters). Dahlstrom, an Economics major, holds a 3.54 cumulative grade-point average.

Qualifying members of the women's track & field team will wrap up the 2013 indoor season at the ECAC Indoor Championship on March 2-3 at Boston University.
