Women's Track & Field To Host Two Meets This Week

Saturday, April 20 vs. Bryant, Central Connecticut, Hartford, Maine, Massachusetts and Stonehill, Worcester, Mass., 11:00 a.m.
- The women's track and field team will host two events this week at the Holy Cross Track. The Holy Cross Heptathlon will take play on Wednesday and Thursday, April 17-18, and the Crusaders will welcome Bryant, Central Connecticut, Hartford, Maine, Massachusetts and Stonehill for a full team meet on Saturday, April 20.
- Last season, Holy Cross did not have any participants in the Holy Cross Heptathlon. In the lone home meet of the season, Holy Cross took first of seven teams. Junior Stephanie Okpoebo (Chelmsford, Mass.), senior Kathleen Brekka (Hubbardston, Mass.), sophomore Mackenzie Arndt (Merrimack, Mass.) and graduate Katelyn Hartnett all recorded first place finishes. Eleven student-athletes posted ECAC qualifying marks.
- The Crusaders are coming off a fifth place finish at the Minuteman Invitational, hosted by UMass. Okpoebo led the team with a first place finish in the 100-meter dash and second place finish in the 200-meter dash.
