         <description><![CDATA[The Holy Cross women's track and field squad has placed 46 student-athletes on the 2008 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by league officials. Leading the Crusaders were senior Caitlin Moore, junior Courtney Mazzio and junior Kelly Shaw, who were three of just 14 female track and field student-athletes to earn 4.00 grade point averages during the spring semester. In addition, seniors Lynn Barowski, Christine Carifio and Jamie Curley were all named to the Academic Honor Roll for the fourth consecutive year. Holy Cross' 46 total selections to the Academic Honor Roll were the second most in the conference.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[The Holy Cross women's track and field team concluded the 2007-2008 season by taking part in the 2008 ECAC outdoor track and field championship, held at Princeton University's William Weaver Track & Field Stadium. Sophomore Tiffany Reid earned a 31st-place finish in the 200-meter dash, in a time of 25.07. Reid then teamed with freshman M. Siobhan Straub, freshman Caitlin White and junior Dannielle Meder in the 4x100-meter relay to place 24th with a time of 48.45.]]></description>

These teams posted multi-year APR scores in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports. The public recognition awards are part of the broad Division I academic reform effort. The women's had 24 top ten finishes and the men had 14.For the women Lauren Courtney (Ashland, Mass.) had a first place finish in the 400-meter race with a time of 58.92 to lead the Crusaders in finishes.
