WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior Olivia Pruszko (Monroe, Conn.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from February 16-22. Pruszko led the Holy Cross women's indoor track and field team to a fourth place finish at the 2009 Patriot League Championship in Annapolis, Md.
At the Patriot League Championship, Pruszko won the conference title in the pentathlon, with a total of 3,432. This marks the second time she has won the Patriot League pentathlon title, after previously winning the event in 2007. Pruszko also finished fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.64 seconds, and came in 10th in the high jump with a height to 1.50 meters. In addition, she ran the anchor leg on the 4x400-meter relay team, which finished fourth in a time of 3:57.40.
Holy Cross' fourth place finish as a team was its best at the Patriot League Championship since 1993, when it finished third.
The Crusaders return to action on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27 and 28, when select individuals will take part in the ECAC Championship.
