Holy Cross Volleyball Falls To Northeastern, 3-0
WORCESTER,
Mass. - Northeastern had three players with double-digit
kills as the Holy Cross volleyball team lost to the Huskies, 3-0,
on Saturday at the Beanpot Classic at the Holy Cross Field House by
scores of 25-21, 25-16 and 25-19. With the loss, the Crusaders drop
to 1-6 overall, while the Huskies improve to 4-3 on the season. The
tournament continues at 2:30 p.m. with Northeastern versus Boston
College and then concludes with Boston College against Holy Cross
at 5:00 p.m.
Junior setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.)
led Holy Cross with 19 assists and eight digs. She now sits third
all-time in Crusader history with 1,664 assists. Freshman
Megan Lynch (Mendham,
N.J.) tallied a team-best nine kills and junior libero
Angela Chisholm (Millis, Mass.) also had eight
digs for Holy Cross.
The Huskies were led by Caitlin Tittl with 12 kills and Jessica
Tkachuk with 32 assists. Leah Neubeck also made 16 digs for
Northeastern while Britney Brown and Jillian Robinson tallied 10
kills each.
