BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Freshman Megan Lynch (Mendham, N.J.) recorded 10 kills making it the 10th time this season that she has tallied double-digit kills, but the Holy Cross volleyball team fell at Lehigh, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at Leeman-Turner Arena by scores of 25-14, 25-14 and 25-21. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 1-16 overall (0-4 Patriot League), while the Mountain Hawks improve to 10-8 on the season (3-1 Patriot League).
Senior Samantha Surface (Fresno, Calif.) had the second most kills for Holy Cross with six, while junior libero Angela Chisholm (Millis, Mass.) led the team with eight digs. Junior setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) posted 21 assists.
The Mountain Hawks were led by Mo McReynolds who had 13 kills and Angelika Kopacz who had 15 digs. Brittany Dickinson recorded 23 assists and Jessica Kudirka had 21 assists.
The Crusaders return to action on Thursday, Oct. 8, when they play Bryant at the Holy Cross Field House at 7:00 p.m. These two teams met earlier this season on Sept. 9, as Holy Cross won on the road by a score of 3-1.
