WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from August 23-29. O'Donnell totaled 125 assists, 35 digs, 11 kills and seven service aces, as the Holy Cross volleyball team posted a 2-2 record at the Beanpot Classic last weekend.
During the opening match of the season, a 3-0 victory over Boston College, O'Donnell led the Crusaders with 36 assists and seven digs. She then added 29 assists and seven digs in a 3-0 win over Quinnipiac, and totaled 40 assists and 14 digs in a 3-2 loss to Northeastern. O'Donnell concluded the weekend with 20 assists and seven digs in a 3-0 loss to Fordham, and was selected to the Beanpot Classic All-Tournament Team.
Over the course of her collegiate career, O'Donnell has now totaled 2,503 assists, 633 digs, 166 kills and 87 service aces.
Holy Cross (2-2 overall, 0-0 Patriot League) returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 1, when it travels to Providence for a 7:00 p.m. match.
