WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore outside hitter Megan Lynch (Mendham, N.J.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from September 20-26. Lynch totaled 43 kills and 36 digs with three double-doubles last week, as the Holy Cross volleyball team posted a 2-1 record in three matches.
Lynch began the week with 12 kills, 10 digs and two service aces during Wednesday's 3-0 victory over Central Connecticut State. She then totaled 15 kills, 14 digs and two block assists in Friday's 3-0 win over Lafayette. Lynch finished the week by recording 16 kills, 12 digs and one block assist in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Lehigh.
Overall this season, Lynch leads the team with 252 kills, to go along with 216 digs, 19 total blocks, 15 assists, eight service aces and a .185 hitting percentage. Over the course of her collegiate career, she has now totaled 623 kills, 449 digs, 40 total blocks, 26 assists and 29 service aces.
Holy Cross (7-12 overall, 1-1 Patriot League) returns to action on Friday, Oct. 1, when it travels to Navy for a 7:00 p.m. match.
