Volleyball Defeated By Army, 3-0

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Margaux Jarka and Fabiola Castro each recorded double-digit kills for the Black Knights as the Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Army, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Gillis Field House by scores of 25-18, 25-22 and 25-19, in Patriot League action. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 9-14 overall (2-3 Patriot League), while the Black Knights improve to 11-10 overall (4-1 Patriot League).

Senior Angela Chisholm (Millis, Mass.) led Holy Cross with 13 digs, while sophomore Megan Lynch (Mendham, N.J.) recorded eight kills and six digs, and senior setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) tallied 21 assists. Freshman Alex Aycock (Jonesboro, Ark.) recorded six kills and six digs, while junior Kathleen Colpoys (Scituate, Mass.) also had six kills.  

Castro recorded a double-double for Army as she also had 16 digs. Karyn Powell tallied 45 assists.

The Crusaders return to action when they play Quinnipiac on Wednesday, Oct. 13, at the Holy Cross Field House at 7:00 p.m.
