WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior outside hitter Megan Lynch (Mendham, N.J.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from August 22-28. Lynch totaled 28 kills and 22 digs with a pair of double-doubles last week, as the Holy Cross volleyball team posted a 1-1 record in two matches.
Lynch began the week with 14 kills and 12 digs during Friday's season-opening 3-1 loss to Fairleigh Dickinson. She then totaled 14 kills, 10 digs, four service aces, two blocks and two assists in Friday's 3-0 victory over Central Connecticut State.
In two matches this season, Lynch leads the team with 28 kills, to go along with 22 digs, two total blocks, two assists, four service aces and a .143 hitting percentage. Over the course of her collegiate career, she has now totaled 841 kills, 643 digs, 54 total blocks, 34 assists and 42 service aces.
Holy Cross (1-1 overall) returns to action on Wednesday, Aug. 31, when it plays host to Providence (2-2 overall) at 6:00 p.m. Fans can watch the game by going here.
