Crusaders To Play Last Two Homes Matches Of The Season

- The Holy Cross volleyball team will play its last two home matches of the season this week at the Holy Cross Field House. On Wednesday, Oct. 24, the Crusaders will take on Bryant at 7:00 p.m. It will be "Professor Appreciation Night." The Crusaders will then play Patriot League opponent Army on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 4:00 p.m. for Senior Day. Seniors Liz Ashton (Milford, Mass.), Callie Black (Fallon, Nev.), captain Megan Lynch (Mendham, N.J.) and captain Elizabeth Watters (San Francisco, Calif.) will be honored before the match. Both matches can be viewed on Crusader Vision.
- Bryant is 9-17 overall and 3-7 in the Northeast Conference. The Crusaders fell to the Bulldogs by a 3-0 score earlier this season on Sept. 15 at Bryant at the Hampton Inn Invitational. The Crusaders are 1-4 in their last five matches versus the Bulldogs. Army, who plays Manhattan on Oct. 24, is 15-7 overall and 7-2 in the Patriot League. The Black Knights are in second place in the Patriot League standings. The Crusaders lost to Army, 3-0, earlier this season on Oct. 6 in West Point, N.Y. Holy Cross has lost 13 straight matches to Army. The Crusaders' last win over the Black Knights was a 3-2 victory on Nov. 12, 2005 in Worcester.
- Watters is fifth in the conference with 3.94 digs per set, while Lynch is seventh in the Patriot League with 2.65 kills per set. Sophomore Hannah Grace Stokes (Atlanta, Ga.) is also seventh in the league with 5.41 assists per set.
