Before Holy Cross: Two-year member of the varsity volleyball team at St. Ursula Academy for coach John Buck…senior captain…as a senior she led the team with 448 assists and was second with 253 kills, while she also posted 160 digs and 41 aces…earned 2012 second team All-State, first team All-District 7, first team All-Conference and All-Conference Academic honors…2012 State All-Star Game participant…won the 2012 CYO Outstanding High School Athlete Award…2012 Old Newsboys High School Girls Volleyball Player of the Year Nominee…team went to the 2012 state semifinals and was 2011 state runners-up…also played for the Toledo Volleyball Club (2007-2012) for coach Angie Parisho and club director Michelle Hills…was a team captain for every season…named to the 2011 NorthCoast Power League All-Tournament team…Senior Student Body President, Junior Student Body Vice President, Sophomore Class Secretary and Freshman Vice President…member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Daughter of Dan and Sue McKernan…has two brothers (Daniel and Michael) and one sister (Megan)…her great uncles Peter McKernan (Class of 1953) and Joseph McKernan (Class of 1949), and cousin Tom Schlageter (Class of 1972) all attended Holy Cross.
