Chuck Stanley is in his second season as a volunteer assistant volleyball coach at Holy Cross in 2010. He is also an assistant director of housing and residence life at Holy Cross.
Stanley's most recent coaching stint was as an assistant coach at Bryant for the 2006 season.
A Boston, Mass. native, Stanley was a two-year captain of the boys' team at Cambridge Rindge & Latin H.S., guiding the team to the state championship in 1996. Following graduation, Stanley continued his playing career at Roger Williams, where he was a two-year team captain and earned Division III All-America honors in 1999 and 2000. He also earned first team All-EIVA Division III honors in 1998 and was a GTE / CoSIDA Academic All-American in 1999 and 2000. In addition, Stanley was recognized as the national Division II and III Player of the Week by the EIVA five times.
Following his collegiate career, Stanley competed professionally in the Italian Volleyball Summer Indoor League on the Magna Grecia Volley Club.
Returning to the Northeast with a degrees in Elementary Education, Social Science and a masters in Counseling from Providence College, Stanley has continued to coach various skills camps in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New York and is still competing on a local men's AA USAV team.
