Holy Cross Volleyball Defeated By Dartmouth, 3-0

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Dartmouth, 3-0, by scores of 25-13, 25-21 and 25-20, at the Holy Cross Field House on Monday night. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 0-5, while the Big Green start their season 1-0.

Junior co-captain Samantha Surface (Fresno, Calif.) led the Crusaders with seven kills, while junior Liz Auger (Barnstable, Mass.) had six kills, and freshmen Libby Malloy (Stratford, Conn.) and Mallaigh McGinley (Amity Harbor, N.Y.) each recorded four kills. Sophomore setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) had 20 assists and nine digs, while sophomore Angela Chisholm (Millis, Mass.) recorded 11 digs.

The Big Green were led by Morgan Covington and Krista Merchat who each recorded seven kills. Natalia Wrobel had 15 assists and Amber Bryant had 14 digs.

The Crusaders return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 10, when they host Central Connecticut at 7:00 p.m., at the Holy Cross Field House.
