New Haven, Conn. - Sophomore Christine Strawson (Torrington, Conn.) recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 15 kills and a season high 18 digs as the Holy Cross volleyball team extended its winning streak to three matches with a 3-0 victory over Quinnipiac on Saturday afternoon at the Yale Invitational. This marks the longest winning streak for Holy Cross since a six match streak at the start of the 2001 season. The Crusaders won by scores of 30-20, 30-25, 30-22. The Crusaders improve to 4-6 on the season, while the Bobcats fall to 0-8. Holy Cross will play tournament host Yale tonight at 7:00 p.m.
Strawson also had a season best five service aces during the match. Junior setter Chrissy Fanning (East Amherst, N.Y.) dished out 31 assists and chipped in with seven digs and three kills. Senior captain Caitlin O'Callaghan (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was second on the team in kills with seven and tallied double figures in digs with 10, while freshman Molly Anderson (Weston, Conn.) had a solid all-around match as she registered six kills, 12 digs and four service aces. Sophomore libero Katie Fitzpatrick (Queensbury, N.Y.) played solid defense with 10 digs.
The Bobcats were led by Stephanie Logan with eight kills and setter Brittany Enz who had a match high 34 assists.
