HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Colgate at Cotterell Court on Friday night, 3-0, by scores of 30-13, 30-22 and 30-22. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 3-16 overall (1-7 Patriot League), while the Raiders improve to 12-10 overall (4-4 Patriot League).
Junior outside hitter Christine Strawson (Torrington, Conn.) led the Crusaders with 10 kills and nine digs on the evening, while freshman outside hitter Liz Auger (Barnstable, Mass.) added 10 kills. Senior setter Chrissy Fanning (East Amherst, N.Y.) had a fine match with 32 assists and seven digs, while senior libero Valerie Mora (San Antonio, Texas) and sophomore outside hitter Molly Anderson (Weston, Conn.) tied for the team lead with 12 digs each.
Colgate was led by Kelsea Loveless with 14 kills and seven digs, while Erin Kanetzke and Katrina Zawojski added 11 kills each.
The Crusaders return to the court on Saturday, October 21, when they travel to Bucknell for a 4:00 p.m. match.
