WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior outside hitter Christine Strawson (Torrington, Conn.) recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 12 kills and 11 digs, while freshman setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) recorded her third double-double with 33 assists and 13 digs, but it was not enough as the Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Lafayette, 3-0, by scores of 30-17, 30-21 and 30-25 in Patriot League action on Friday night. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 3-22 overall (0-11 Patriot League), while the Leopards improve to 13-15 overall (4-7 Patriot League).
Junior libero Molly Anderson (Weston, Conn.) led Holy Cross defensively with 14 digs and sophomore Liz Auger (Barnstable, Mass.) led the Crusaders in kills with 14 as she had a .343 hitting percentage.
The Leopards were led by Kayly Elmer's 11 kills and Megan Carter's 38 assists.
The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, November 3 when they host Patriot League opponent Lehigh at 4:00 p.m.
