LEWISBURG, Pa. - Sophomore setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) recorded her seventh double-double of the season and the tenth of her career, but it was not enough as the Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Bucknell, 3-1, in Patriot League action Friday evening by scores of 25-15, 24-26, 25-12 and 25-19. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 1-22 (0-11 Patriot League), while the Bison improve to 11-16 (6-5 Patriot League).
O'Donnell earned the double-double with 27 assists and 11 digs. Junior Samantha Surface (Fresno, Calif.) led the Crusaders with nine kills, while sophomore Rebecca DeSanti (Hampden, Mass.) and freshman Kathleen Colpoys (Scituate, Mass.) each had eight kills. Senior libero Molly Anderson (Weston, Conn.) led Holy Cross with 16 digs.
The Bison were led by Liz Hazuka who had a double-double with 12 kills and 14 digs. Kaitlin Segal also had a double-double with 10 kills and 17 digs and Shannon Pitsch led all players with 41 assists.
The Crusaders continue Patriot League action on Saturday, Nov. 8, when they play Colgate in Hamilton, N.Y. at 4:00 p.m.
