Holy Cross defeated by American

Washington, D.C. - The Holy Cross volleyball team was defeated by American in three games (13-30, 14-30, 23-30), Friday night at Bender Arena.
The Crusaders were led by a trio of seniors. Lauren Liesman (Winchester, Calif.) tallied a team-high 11 digs, Caitlin Agotinacchio (Bellmore, N.Y.) registered a team-high 13 kills, while Michelle Leahy (Andover, Mass.) posted 13 assists.
Leading the Eagles were Elizabeth Maloney (Toronto, Canada), who recorded a game-high 19 kills, Sabrina Vasconcelos (Fortaleza, Brazil), who tallied a game-high of 13 digs and setter Courtney Mulford (San Diego, Calif.), who totaled 38 assists.
Holy Cross is now 1-13 overall and 0-2 in the Patriot League, while American improves to 6-4 overall and 2-0 in the Patriot League.
The Crusaders return to action tomorrow night against Navy in Annapolis, Md., at 7 p.m.
