Strawson Earns BC/NU Challenge All-Tournament Honors

WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross senior volleyball player Christine Strawson (Torrington, Conn.) was named to the Boston College/Northeastern Challenge All-Tournament team making it seven straight regular season tournaments that she has made the all-tournament team. Strawson also now has 1,010 career kills making her only the second Crusader to reach the 1,000 career kills mark. She is 53 kills away from tying the school-record. The record of 1,063 career kills is held by Caitlin Agostinacchio (2001-2004).

Strawson had 54 kills and 46 digs in the four matches at the tournament, including 17 kills and 15 digs in the 3-0 victory over Sacred Heart. She recorded double-digit kills in all four matches as she led the team in kills in every match. Strawson has registered double-digit kills in five of Holy Cross' six matches this season.

Strawson is a two-time Patriot League Volleyball Scholar Athlete of the Year, while she was named to the 2006 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I first team and to the second team in 2005. She is also a two-time All-Patriot League second team member.
