WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior outside hitter Liz Auger (Barnstable, Mass.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from September 8-14. Auger totaled 69 kills, 26 digs and six blocks in five matches for the Holy Cross volleyball team last week, while posting a .206 hitting percentage.
In Saturday's 3-2 victory over Wagner, Auger posted a career-high 26 kills and a .462 hitting percentage. She also totaled 18 kills in a 3-1 loss to Bryant on Saturday, while recording 14 kills in a 3-0 loss to Central Connecticut on Wednesday. In addition, Auger was selected to the All-Tournament team for the Crusader Classic.
Overall this season, Auger has posted 84 kills, 32 digs and eight blocks with a .141 hitting percentage. Over the course of her Holy Cross career, she has totaled 566 kills, 147 digs and 28 blocks.
The Crusaders return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 17, when they travel to Rhode Island for a 7:00 p.m. match.
