Nov. 21, 2004

Worcester, Mass. - Senior Caitlin Agostinacchio (Bellmore , N.Y) was named to the 2004 All-League first-team, as announced by the Patriot League.

Agostinacchio is the first Holy Cross player to surpass the 1,000 kill mark; she has tallied 1,063 career-kills over her four years as a Crusader. The senior now ranks first and second in kills per season with 396 and 336, respectively. She is also first and second in kills per game in a season after accumulating 4.17 per game this season and 3.36 per game during the 2003 campaign. Agostinacchio tallied 250 digs this season and is now third all-time with 906 digs. Last season she registered 352 digs, putting her at fourth for total digs per season.

"I'm excited that the league recognized what Caitlin has come to mean to our team," said Head Coach Chris Ridolfi. "It is a credit to her character that she can earn such a huge individual honor while keeping her focus on the success of our team."

The honor is Agostinacchio's second as she was named to All-League second-team last season.

Joining Agostinacchio on the first-team is Cutrina Biddulph and Courtney Mulford from American, Abby Casciato, Caitlin Machon and Rachel Travis from Army, Jackie Leahy from Bucknell and Ashley Van Hartesvelt from Navy.
