After being off last weekend, the Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Oct. 4. Holy Cross will take part in the Murray
Keatinge Invitational in Orono, Maine, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Holy Cross was last in action on the weekend of Sept. 19-20, when it took part in two meets. On Friday, Sept. 19, the
Crusaders placed sixth out of 35 schools at the National Catholic Championship. Then on Saturday, Sept. 20, Holy Cross
placed eighth out of 41 teams at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
Freshman Paige Sutherland (Groveland, Mass.) placed 16th overall at the National Catholic Championship, and was
named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week. She ran a time of 18:38 over the five-kilometer course, and was Holy Cross'
top finisher in the field of 287 runners. This marks the second time this season Sutherland has had the top time on the team.
She previously placed second at the Blue Devil Invitational in a time of 18:48.
Sophomore Jacqueline Imse (Simsbury, Conn.) earned a 22nd place finish at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational. Her time
of 18:57 over the five-kilometer course was the best on the team, in a field which included 310 runners. Earlier this year,
Imse placed 22nd at the Blue Devil Invitational in a time of 20:02.
