Malcolm Miller, a 2015 Holy Cross graduate, became a National Basketball Association champion on Thursday night when the Toronto Raptors won 114-110 at Golden State in game six of the 2019 NBA Finals. This is the first title for the Raptors franchise.

Since 1981, the Maloney Award has been presented annually by the Holy Cross Varsity Club to the men's basketball player who best exemplifies Mr. Maloney's spirit and energy as a loyal contributor to the program.

Senior forward Jehyve Floyd, a member of the Holy Cross men's basketball team, has been selected as the 2018-2019 winner of the Honorable John P. Cooney Memorial Award. Presented by the Holy Cross Varsity Club in memory of Judge John P. Cooney (Class of 1923), the Cooney Award goes to a senior letterwinner who performed beyond all expectations with courage, loyalty and dedication.

The Crusaders improve to 16-16 overall with the win, while the Leopards conclude the season with a 10-20 record.
