Relays Lead Women's Track and Field at ECAC Championships

PRINCETON, New Jersey – The Holy Cross women’s track and field team competed at the ECAC Championships on Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12.


  • The 4x400 meter relay team of senior Alexandra Curtin, freshman Kelsey O’Hara, senior Lauren Rasmus and junior Caroline Frey finished fifth with a time of 3:55.39.
  • Curtin, junior Allie Smiley and seniors Isabella DiMare and Sarah Friess placed seventh in the 4x100 meter relay, running a time of 46.83 seconds.
  • Rasmus finished seventh individually in the 400 meter hurdles in a time of 1:02.80. DiMare was 21st in 1:05.43.
  • The 4x800 meter relay team of sophomore Marina MacKinnon, junior Allison McArdle and freshmen Emily Koufos and Grace Hoelscher placed eighth in a time of 9:19.51.
  • Curtin placed ninth in the long jump with a leap of 5.65 meters. Smiley finished 21st with a mark of 5.21 meters.
  • Sophomore Abbie Mokwuah was 12th in the shot put with a throw of 13.08 meters.
  • Curtin finished 16th in the prelims of the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.38 seconds.
  • The Crusaders finished with nine points to place 33rd out of 44 teams.
