Abby Mead is in her third season asan assistant women's lacrosse coach at Holy Cross in 2010.

A 2006 graduate of Davidson Collegein Davidson, N.C., Mead came to Holy Cross from Kenyon College inGambier, Ohio, where she served as an assistant coach for the 2007season. She also gained coaching experience as an assistant coachfor the Capital Lacrosse 2010 Orange team in Washington, D.C.

At Davidson she was a Major GeneralThomas Corbin Scholar which is awarded for leadership andathletics. She also received the 2006 Wildcat Award for hard work,dedication and loyalty to the team. As a junior and senior, Meadearned Southern Conference Academic Honors twice, while she wasalso a member of the 2006 NCAA lacrosse honor squad. She was aconsistent three-year starter as she played attack, midfield anddefense, while she finished second on her team in total groundballs as a senior leader on defense.

A native of Washington, D.C., Meadwas a two-time High School All-American at the National CathedralSchool. She served as a team captain for her lacrosse, tennis andbasketball teams, while she was a High Point Athletic Winner in2002.
